Keramoti Beaches

Keramoti has one of the longest beaches, with fine sand and clear water. Many travelers say that is one of the most beautiful beaches in Northern Greece. There are many beach bars, fully organized with sun umbrellas and chairs and many other things that any visitor needs.

Lekani’s mountains are very near to keramoti which offer many beautiful places, forests, traditional small villages and the famous Nestos River. In that area many activities take place such as canoe-kayak, rafting, walking, bird –watching and many more.

Keramoti Entrance

Keramoti looks like an island because it is connected to inland with a small bridge in the entrance of the village.

Keramoti Port

Keramoti’s port is graphical and ideal for walking. Across the main road and very near to the port, there are many fish restaurants and taverns that offer fresh fish dishes as well as the well known keramoti’s mussels.

Nestos

The Nestos is a river which raises the Rila Mountains and flows into the Aegean Sea. It plunges down towering canyons toward the Aegean Sea through mostly metamorphic formations. The Nestos Delta is considered as one of the most important wetland in Europe and is protected by Ramsar treaty. The place consists of lot habitats with lagoons, wet grass lands and riverside forest. The flaura and fauna of Nestos Delta are offered for naturalist, birds and wild animal’s observers etc.
